Deleting your account and data
Last Updated: 5 August 2026
You can permanently delete your a quiet counter account and personal data at any time, directly in the app. You can also delete individual pieces of your data without closing your account.
How to delete your account in the app
- Open a quiet counter and go to Profile, then Account settings.
- Tap Delete Account and confirm.
- Your account is signed out and your data is removed from our active systems.
What is deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes your Firebase profile, your recipe library, your nutrition history, and your weekly plan data from our active databases.
Deleting some of your data without closing your account
You do not have to delete everything. Each of these can be removed on its own, from inside the app, and takes effect straight away.
- A recipe. Open the recipe and choose Delete recipe. In your library you can also select several recipes and delete them together. A deletion offers a brief undo, after which it is permanent.
- A recipe photo. Open the recipe's card options and choose Remove Photo. The image is removed from our storage and from the copy cached on your device, and the recipe itself is kept.
- An Assistant conversation. Open the Assistant, open your chats, and delete any conversation in the list.
- A recipe share code. Open a recipe you have shared and revoke its code. The code stops working immediately and cannot be used again.
Assistant conversations are also deleted automatically 30 days after you last use them, whether or not you delete them yourself.
What is retained
De-identified, aggregated data derived from prior usage may be retained indefinitely because it cannot be traced back to you. Crash logs and analytics events expire on our processors' standard schedules (typically 90 days for Sentry; up to 14 months for Google Analytics).
