Mealime closes on 21 October 2026 and deletes your account data when it does. Every Mealime recipe still has its own page, and a quiet counter can copy it for you: the title, servings, ingredients with amounts, and the method.
Three steps
- Copy the link. Find your recipe on mealime.com/recipes and copy the address from the address bar.
- Open a quiet counter. Go to app.aquietcounter.com or open the Android app. You don't need to sign up to start.
- Paste it in. Go to Library, tap Add, then Import a link. Paste the address and tap Import recipe. Check the ingredients look right, then tap Import.
That's it. The recipe is in your library, and you can put it on a day in the Planner to add its ingredients to your grocery list.
Got a lot of them? On the Import a link screen, switch on Multiple URLs and paste one address per line.
When do I need an account? Without one you can keep up to 25 recipes on one device. Make a free account to keep more, to use them on your phone and your computer, and to keep them safe if you don't open the app for a couple of months.
Questions
Is Mealime shutting down?
Yes. Mealime closes on 21 October 2026 and deletes account data when it does. Its recipes move to Meals Hub inside the Albertsons store apps.
Can I export my Mealime recipes?
Mealime's closing notice does not offer a way to export them. Importing each recipe's mealime.com link into a quiet counter brings across the title, servings, ingredients with amounts, and the method.
Do the pantry amounts come across?
Yes. Mealime lists staples like mayonnaise, salt and olive oil without an amount and only gives the amount inside a step ("3 tbsp mayonnaise" in step four). We read the steps and put the amounts back on the ingredient list. If a recipe uses salt in two steps, the two amounts are added together.
Does it still make one grocery list?
Yes. Put a few recipes on days in the Planner and the grocery list adds up anything they share, so two recipes that each use a lemon become one line asking for two lemons.
I have hundreds of favourites. Any tips?
Make a free account first, since without one you can keep 25. Then use a computer, with mealime.com in one tab and a quiet counter in another, and paste them in batches of twenty or thirty: each recipe still gets its own check screen. If a link is already in your library, you'll get a warning rather than a second copy.
What about after 21 October?
Anything you have imported stays in your library. For recipes you haven't brought across yet, go to web.archive.org, paste the old Mealime address, open the most recent saved copy and import that address instead. Not every page was saved, so bring your favourites across before the 21st if you can.
What about recipes I typed into Mealime myself?
Those don't have a public page, so there's no link. Open each one in Mealime, copy the text, and in a quiet counter choose Add, then Type or paste text. We'll sort the ingredients from the method.
What can I use instead of Mealime?
a quiet counter plans your week from your own recipes and builds one grocery list that adds up shared ingredients. Importing recipes, planning and the grocery list are free on Android and the web, with iPhone coming soon.
